Birth Doula 

Initially I would meet with you to give us a chance to get to know each other, to discuss exactly what kind of support you are looking for and for you to ask any questions about my role as a doula. There is no charge for this first consultation if you live within 15 miles of my home. Above this distance I charge travel expenses only.

If you decide you would like me as your birth doula my services will include:

Two antenatal visits where we can discuss preparation for the birth, birth              physiology, relaxation, breathing, pain relief and writing a birth plan.

Unlimited support by telephone, email and text throughout your pregnancy.

Loan of books and DVDs on pregnancy and birth.

Being on-call for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from 38 to 42 weeks.

Attending you during labour as soon as you feel you need me. I will stay             with you until after the birth, however long it takes! 

One postnatal visit to de-brief from the birth and deal with any concerns             you might have with feeding, sleeping and life with a new baby. 

Fee: £395 for clients living within 15 miles of my home; travel expenses at 40p a mile chargeable for distances above this.
